The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beddo fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like Third Round Romero has been cut.
Romero misses the jab.
Romero throws a big shot that misses.
Romero lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Beddo lands with a straight right. Romero didn't see that one coming.
Beddo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Beddo connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A left lands for Beddo.
Beddo swings widly with a right hand
and Romero counters with a straight right hand.
A big left from Beddo misses.
Beddo misses with a hook to the body
and Romero connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Romero throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Romero throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Beddo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Romero.
Beddo blocks a jab.
Romero ducks under a wild hook from Beddo.
Beddo throws a leg kick but Romero sees it coming and moves out of range.
Romero darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Romero lands a jab to the head.

Romero has Beddo up against the cage in a clinch.
Still in the clinch, Romero scores with a nice short uppercut.

Beddo has picked Romero up - he's going for a ride! Beddo dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Beddo works his way into full mount!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Romero is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The cut above Third Round Romero's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Third Round Romero's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Philo Beddo!
