Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jordan Maloney!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

so Daniels counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Maloney scrambles and gets back to his feet.

and Daniels decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Maloney's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Maloney has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Daniels can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Daniels will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Daniels wants to stand but Maloney is controlling his posture from full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Daniels gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Maloney had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Daniels defends it easily.

Maloney is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Daniels defends well.

Daniels decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Maloney can't find room to land a body shot as Daniels controls the action.

Maloney has clasped his hands together around Daniels's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Maloney is trying to get an arm triangle but Daniels is defending well.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dennis Daniels will probably get the nod.

Maloney changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Daniels looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maloney is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Daniels has escaped the position, nice work there.
Daniels is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Daniels really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Daniels has one of Maloney's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Maloney in side control lands a decent elbow.

Maloney tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Maloney has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Maloney in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Daniels is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
