Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jonathan Paton and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gavira gets a takedown into half guard.
Gavira working Jones over with strikes.
Gavira lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Gavira working over Jones with some ground and pound. Jones looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Gavira landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Jones on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jones tries to get out of the position.
Gavira is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Gavira is taking a breather. Jones says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Gavira wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Still in half guard, Gavira seems content to control.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gavira lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gavira passes the guard and advances to mount!

BOOM! Gavira connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Gavira is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Gavira postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Jones badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Gavira around the waist but Gavira pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Gavira is the winner by TKO! Gavira jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Olegar Gavira!
