The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Cojuangco or perhaps it was just good defense by Martins, which made it look bad.
Martins darts in looking for a takedown but Cojuangco gets double underhooks and turns Martins into the cage.
Cojuangco shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martins as he jumps to the side.

It looks like Cojuangco might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
