Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sven Hensen (ranked 546 p4p, 64 weight class) and Nickey Spillane (ranked 906 p4p, 101 weight class). Hensen comes to the cage accompanied by Soul Coughing - Super Bon Bon. Spillane comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Foggy Dew kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spillane throws a leg kick
and Hensen counters with a shoot takedown. Spillane fights it but they end up in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hensen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hensen content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Spillane wants to sweep here but Hensen controlling him for the moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hensen lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Hensen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Spillane stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hensen.
Spillane's coach down at Soul Supremacy Rio was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Spillane's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Spillane looks to land a left hand but Hensen moved out of range nicely.
Spillane moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A punch combination from Spillane misses.
Hensen jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Hensen lands a nice looking body kick.
Nickey Spillane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hensen moves away from the strike by Spillane.
Hensen drops down looking for a counter takedown but Spillane sprawls and moves away.
Hensen works the jab nicely.

Hensen thows a body kick. Spillane tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Spillane looks winded!
Spillane throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hensen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Hensen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Spillane throws a big shot that misses.

and Hensen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Spillane won't be happy with that.
Spillane is rocked!
Hensen in side control lands a decent elbow.
Spillane is still in real trouble! Can Hensen finish him?
Hensen in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Spillane looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Hensen turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
