Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Carruthers.
Carruthers catches Tolevski with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
No joy there for Tolevski, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carruthers lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Jason Tolevski has been cut.
Tolevski tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carruthers swats him away and circles back towards the center.
As Tolevski looks to move away, Carruthers throws a big counter combo but Tolevski just gets out of the way.
Carruthers scores with a three punch combo!
Carruthers connects with a solid leg kick.
Carruthers lands with a good body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carruthers dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tolevski fails with the takedown.
Tolevski takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Tolevski takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Carruthers paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Tolevski tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A punch lands to the side of Tolevski 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Tolevski throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Carruthers dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tolevski moves into range and clinches up with Carruthers.
Tolevski tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Carruthers just stands there and leans against the cage.
Carruthers tries to break free but Tolevski pushes him back against the cage.

Tolevski is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Carruthers to keep the fight standing.
Jimmy Carruthers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Tolevski.
Carruthers works on Tolevski's body with a couple of short punches.

and Carruthers counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tolevski thinking.
Tolevski has his takedown stuffed
and Tolevski takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Tolevski takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Tolevski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Danga de danga de dang - Carruthers scores with a four punch combination!
Tolevski is rocked!
Carruthers connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Tolevski tumbling to the canvas! Carruthers pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Tolevski was done - good stoppage!
