Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reg Carrott (ranked 6385 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Woodard (ranked 8314 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Woodard is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Reg Carrott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Woodard!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodard shoots in for a double leg but Carrott sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Woodard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carrott is fending him off so far but Woodard persists. Nope, Carrott circles away and we're back to standing.
Carrott fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Carrott tries to close the distance and clinch but Woodard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A little jabbing left from Woodard on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Carrott lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.


It looks like Dan Woodard has been cut.
No luck for Carrott with that takedown attempt.
Woodard scores with a sloppy right hand. Carrott should have avoided that one.


It looks like Reg Carrott has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Woodard shoots in looking for a takedown. Carrott tries to sprawl out of it but Woodard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carrott manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Reg Carrott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Woodard.

Woodard doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Carrott counters with a three punch combo that has Woodard backing up. Woodard nods at Carrott to acknowledge the strikes.
Carrott stuns Woodard with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Carrott fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Woodard appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Carrott dives in and grabs Woodard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Woodard pushes down on Carrott's head and hops out.
Woodard swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Carrott shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Woodard sprawls well. Woodard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carrott gets slowly back to his feet.
Carrott shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Woodard as he jumps to the side.
Woodard swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Woodard shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Carrott shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Woodard as he jumps to the side.
Woodard changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Woodard tries to score a power double leg takedown but Carrott sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Woodard somewhat.

Carrott rushes Woodard and presses him up against the cage.
Carrott drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Woodard has Carrott pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Carrott manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Woodard.
Carrott wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Woodard has him pressed against the cage.
Carrott goes for a takedown in the clinch but Woodard prevents it.
Carrott is breathing heavily.
Carrott has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Woodard is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Carrott is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Woodard to keep the fight standing.
Carrott tries to circle away but Woodard has him pinned against the cage.
Carrott is working for takedown but Woodard is calmly controlling the position for now.

Woodard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Woodard fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Carrott sprawls well initially but Woodard persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Still in half guard, Woodard seems content to control.
Woodard's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Carrott is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dan Woodard will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Woodard slaps away a takedown attempt from Carrott, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Woodard counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Carrott looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Carrott shoots in looking for a takedown but Woodard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Carrott's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Woodard closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Carrott did well to prevent Woodard getting side control.
Woodard perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Woodard stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Carrott to get to his feet.
Woodard stuffs the takedown attempt from Carrott. Carrott gets slowly back to his feet.
Woodard is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Woodard tries for a takedown but Carrott sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Reg Carrott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Carrott changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Woodard tries to avoid it but Carrott manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Woodard to the ground. Woodard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Carrott pushes Woodard up against the cage in a clinch.
Woodard is trying to drag Carrott to the mat but Carrott just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Woodard drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Carrott gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Carrott gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Woodard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Woodard has Carrott pressed against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Woodard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Woodard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Carrott appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Carrott closes the distance and clinches up with Woodard, looking for a takedown. Carrott pushes Woodard against the cage but Woodard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Woodard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Carrott shoots in for a takedown but Woodard shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Woodard closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carrott circles away.

Carrott darts in and clinches Woodard up against the cage.
Woodard has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Carrott avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Reg Carrott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Woodard.

Dan Woodard seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Carrott jumps guard and drags Woodard to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carrott escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Woodard gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Woodard pushes down on Carrott's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Carrott is looking to control Woodard's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Carrott avoid being mounted?
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Woodard moves nicely into side control.
Carrott being controlled for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Woodard lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Carrott down.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Woodard wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carrott, who protects the arm well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Carrott tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Woodard easily slips into full mount!
Woodard lands a big elbow.

Woodard is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Carrott to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Carrott shrugs it off.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dan Woodard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Woodard winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
