Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiote fails with the takedown
and Etxeberria counters with a nice uppercut.
Tiote misses with a takedown attempt
and Tiote takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tiote feints and as Etxeberria raises his hands in defense, Tiote changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tiote postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Tiote scoring with punches to the head and body.

Etxeberria is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Etxeberria has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Etxeberria trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Etxeberria is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Tiote dives into side control.

Tiote is working to tighten his grip on Etxeberria's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Etxeberria has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Tiote is really squeezing tight and eventually Etxeberria passes out! Tiote breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

During a confident post fight interview, Feihck Tiote thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
The defeated Kemen Etxeberria had this to say: 'You all saw what happened there, and everyone with any brains knows I deserve a rematch!'.
