Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bill Perkins (ranked 4901 p4p, 573 weight class) and Tyreke Mechanic (ranked 5137 p4p, 595 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mechanic throws a lazy right hand but Perkins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tyreke Mechanic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Perkins.
Perkins throws a head kick that misses.
Perkins keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A big left from Mechanic misses.
Perkins takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mechanic lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Perkins at a distance.
Mechanic lands with a right hand.
Perkins is looking to score with low kicks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mechanic connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Perkins momentarily.
Mechanic pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Perkins throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
letting Mechanic counter with a right hand.

Mechanic fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Perkins looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Perkins pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Mechanic looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Perkins tries for a takedown but Mechanic circles away easily
and Mechanic counters with a stiff right hand.
Mechanic lands a nice hook to Perkins's body. Perkins takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Perkins moves away from the strike by Mechanic.
Mechanic swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A lazy body kick from Perkins
and Mechanic counters with a nice uppercut.
Perkins is rocked!
Mechanic throws a shot to the body.
Oh Perkins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Perkins is breathing heavily.
Mechanic measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Perkins! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
