Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slick Minard (ranked 7645 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bilabong Conrad (ranked 4533 p4p, 0 weight class). Minard comes to the cage accompanied by D.N.A. by Kendrick Lamar. Conrad is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by BonieM. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conrad stuffs the takedown attempt from Minard. Minard gets slowly back to his feet.
We've been hearing reports that Minard has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Minard takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
A chopping leg kick lands by Conrad.
Conrad displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Minard throws out the jab.
Conrad stalks Minard and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Minard's face. Minard staggers backwards, shaken.
Minard wants to clinch.
Conrad lands a jab to the nose.
We've been informed that Conrad has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Minard takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Conrad counters with a left to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Slick Minard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Conrad changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Minard misses with a combination
and Conrad makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Slick Minard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Minard is breathing heavily.
Minard looks to clinch
and Conrad counters with an outside leg kick.
Conrad lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Conrad connects with a good right hand that stumbles Minard. Minard circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Conrad feints with a jab and clips Minard right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Minard is sent crashing into the canvas and Conrad leaps in for the kill! Minard tries to get to his feet but Conrad is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Minard is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bilabong Conrad!
A relieved looking Bilabong Conrad thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
