Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rock Allen (ranked 8763 p4p, 726 weight class) and Aidan McVeigh (ranked 5564 p4p, 621 weight class). McVeigh comes into a darkened arena with his song building. E-Dubble - Let Me Oh kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Allen clinches.
McVeigh tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
McVeigh gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Rock Allen has been cut.

Allen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Aidan McVeigh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Allen closes the distance and clinches.
McVeigh tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Allen takes an elbow to the temple.
McVeigh creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Allen's defenses.
McVeigh has Allen pushed against the cage.

Allen has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed McVeigh clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Allen is looking for the choke from the back position but McVeigh is controlling his hands well.

Allen looking to break McVeigh's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. McVeigh remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Allen will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
McVeigh covering up well under a barage of strikes.
McVeigh wants to get back to his feet.

Allen tries to keep control of the position but McVeigh is staying busy.

Allen is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. McVeigh knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften McVeigh for a finish.

Allen is looking for the choke from the back position but McVeigh is controlling his hands well.

Allen has got one arm under McVeigh's chin. This could be trouble... McVeigh trying to control the other hand but Allen gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, McVeigh has tapped out! The fight is over!
