Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Randy Miller (ranked 2279 p4p, 288 weight class) and Orion Soulburn (ranked 5373 p4p, 574 weight class). Miller comes to the cage accompanied by Who Was In My Room Last Night by Butthole Surfers. Randy Miller could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Orion Soulburn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Randy Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Orion Soulburn!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soulburn just misses with a punch to the body.
Miller scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Soulburn misses with a hook. Miller ducked under it nicely.
Nice defenses there by Soulburn.
A left lands for Miller.
Miller throws a hook to the side of Soulburn's head but Soulburn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Soulburn throws a head kick but Miller moves out of range.
Soulburn uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Miller.
A countering left hand to the body from Soulburn misses.
Miller tries to bum rush Soulburn with a series of wild strikes but Soulburn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Left hook, right uppercut from Soulburn.
Miller blocks a head kick by Soulburn.
A little feinted left hand from Miller on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Soulburn misses with a shot to the body
and Soulburn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Miller throws a jab when Soulburn was well out of range.

Miller throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Miller throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Soulburn tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Miller is in Soulburn's guard.

Miller passes Soulburn's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Miller throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Miller is pressing down on Soulburn's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Miller bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Soulburn's guard.

Soulburn utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Miller thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miller landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Miller prevents Soulburn from improving his position.
Soulburn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Miller wants to advance to full mount but Soulburn doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Soulburn swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miller keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Miller scores with the left hand. Soulburn knows he should have avoided that one.


Soulburn is rocked!
Miller finds Soulburn's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Soulburn flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Miller lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Soulburn will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Randy Miller!
An out of breath Randy Miller thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
