PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Khatir Afridi (ranked 1938 p4p, 212 weight class) and Dixie Pablo Khakhold (ranked 1010 p4p, 108 weight class). Dixie Pablo Khakhold told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Khatir Afridi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dixie Pablo Khakhold!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khakhold connects with a body shot that sends Afridi's belly button to the back.
Afridi tries to close the distance and clinch but Khakhold swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Khakhold misses with an uppercut. Afridi saw that one coming.
Khakhold throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Afridi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Afridi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Khakhold feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well Khakhold has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
