Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between I Am (ranked 245 p4p, 24 weight class) and Jaako Turkinen (ranked 271 p4p, 28 weight class). Am comes to the cage accompanied by Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Part II. I Am could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jaako Turkinen's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Am there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Am shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Turkinen counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Turkinen throws a jab but it's blocked by Am.
Turkinen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Am sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Turkinen somewhat.
Am on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Am is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Turkinen is just riding it out for now. Am eventually gives up the hold.

Am is pressing down on Turkinen's thigh, looking to free his foot. Turkinen is holding on for now.

Am is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Still in half guard, Am seems content to control.
Turkinen is pressing down on Am's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Turkinen, as that shot connected.
Am looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Am bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Well Turkinen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
