Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bombs Away Bin Laden!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bon Bones!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bones is looking to clinch.
Bones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Bin Laden lands with a nice body punch.
Bombs Away Bin Laden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bin Laden moves into range and connects with a jab.
Bones throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bin Laden scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bin Laden throws a body shot but no joy.

As Bin Laden backs off Bones throws a huge counter combo but Bin Laden manages to avoid it all.
Bin Laden swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bin Laden throws a good cross that connects.

Bin Laden shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bones pinned against the cage. Bones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

It looks like Bombs Away Bin Laden has been cut.
Bin Laden throws a series of punches but Bones moves out of range.
Bones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
It seemed like Bones was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bombs Away Bin Laden. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bones tries to close the distance and clinch but Bin Laden swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bones throws out a counter right but Bin Laden avoids it with no problem.

Bin Laden looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Bin Laden is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bones pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Bin Laden is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bones is defending well.
Bones's coach down at 3Band MMA ($500/week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bones's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Bones struggles to land a body shot inside as Bin Laden controls his hands.

Bin Laden has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bones avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bombs Away Bin Laden's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
