Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Moyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Trenchard!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moyer shoots in looking for a takedown but Trenchard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Moyer's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Danga de danga de dang - Moyer scores with a four punch combination!


It looks like James Trenchard has been cut.
Dennis Moyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Trenchard shoots in for a takedown but Moyer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Moyer ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Moyer darts in looking for a takedown but Trenchard gets double underhooks and turns Moyer into the cage.
Moyer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Trenchard circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dennis Moyer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown attempt by Trenchard or perhaps it was just good defense by Moyer, which made it look bad.
Moyer tries to counter by clinching up but Trenchard breaks away and moves out of range.
Moyer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Trenchard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Moyer somewhat.
A little jabbing left from Trenchard on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck for Trenchard with that takedown attempt.
Moyer tries to counter with a takedown but Trenchard is quick to defend against it.

Moyer has Trenchard up against the cage in a clinch.
Trenchard tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Moyer just stands there and leans against the cage.

Moyer jumps into guard, dragging Trenchard to the mat.
Trenchard is looking to stand up but Moyer won't let him.
Moyer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Trenchard is controlling him.

Moyer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Trenchard can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Trenchard passes Moyer's left leg - he's now in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Moyer wants to improve his position but Trenchard is controlling well.
Trenchard seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Moyer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Moyer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Trenchard is working for a kimura but Moyer is defending it quite comfortably.
Trenchard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moyer keeps working.
Trenchard is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Trenchard decides to stand and escape the position.
Moyer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Moyer shoots in for a takedown but Trenchard shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Moyer lands with an uppercut that bounces Trenchard off the cage and back into range.

and Moyer counters by moving into the clinch.
Trenchard is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Moyer pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Moyer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Moyer stuffs the takedown.
Moyer lands with a nice combination. Trenchard backs away looking to recover.
Moyer tries for a takedown but Trenchard sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Moyer fails with the takedown.
Moyer is breathing heavily.

Moyer clinches up against the cage.
Moyer drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Trenchard gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Knees in the clinch landing for Moyer.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Trenchard is trying to drag Moyer to the mat but Moyer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Trenchard has Moyer pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Moyer manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Moyer rushes Trenchard and presses him up against the cage.
Moyer utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.

Trenchard pulls Moyer into guard.

Trenchard is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Moyer defends well.
Our spies down at at Iron Fist Gym inform us that Trenchard has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Moyer trying to control the position from guard on top but Trenchard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Moyer pushes down on Trenchard's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Moyer is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Moyer would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Moyer is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Moyer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Trenchard on the ground.
Moyer trying to control but Trenchard is working from the bottom.

Trenchard is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Moyer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Moyer trying to control but Trenchard is working from the bottom.
Moyer is looking to work some ground and pound but Trenchard has wrist control.

Moyer content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Trenchard has locked up a guillotine! Trenchard's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Moyer is holding on here and Trenchard must be using up a lot of energy. Moyer has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Trenchard gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). James Trenchard!
James Trenchard was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
