Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Rolen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sylvester Stallion!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stallion scores with a takedown into Rolen's guard.
Rolen working a defensive guard here.
Stallion stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rolen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stallion sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rolen's guard.

Stallion is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Rolen tries to roll over but Stallion keeps him under control.

Stallion seems to be looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stallion is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Stallion is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rolen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stallion.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Stallion is working for a submission of some sort.
Rolen wants to improve his position but Stallion is controlling well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Stallion is looking for a kimura but Rolen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Stallion to get the leverage.

Stallion is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rolen has managed to free his arm - good work.

Stallion is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Rolen is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Sylvester Stallion!
