Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Hamil (ranked 7176 p4p, 681 weight class) and Kenneth Wallace (ranked 25021 p4p, 794 weight class). Hamil's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I want to know what love is. The key to victory for David Hamil has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kenneth Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hamil.
Wallace misses with a hook. Hamil ducked under it nicely.

Hamil shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Wallace tries to get to full guard but Hamil has control of the leg.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wallace can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hamil is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wallace wants to control but Hamil is having none of it.

You can see the frustration on Wallace's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Wallace bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Hamil cracks Wallace with a big right hand but Wallace just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hamil is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wallace has escaped the position, nice work there.

Wallace really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hamil. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hamil gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hamil escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wallace gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hamil is on top in guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wallace connects with a nice short shot to Hamil's temple.

David Hamil overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to David Hamil.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hamil, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, David Hamil started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
