The crowd seem to be enjoying Deitrich's choice of entrance music: I'm Old, You're Young. Danny Deitrich has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Thad Lee's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thad Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danny Deitrich!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee blocks a head kick by Deitrich.

Deitrich gets a double leg takedown into Lee's guard.
Deitrich not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Deitrich is looking to stand up but Lee won't let him.

Lee working for a triangle but Deitrich defends it easily.
Deitrich trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Deitrich is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Deitrich is taking a breather. Lee says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Deitrich not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Deitrich in particular looking to stall.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Deitrich drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Lee scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Deitrich takes a kick to the side of the head.

Deitrich shoots in and gets a takedown into Lee's guard.
Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Deitrich on the ground.
Deitrich content to stall in guard here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Deitrich accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Deitrich slips nicely into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Deitrich lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Lee is breathing heavily.

Deitrich is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Deitrich is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
It looks like Deitrich might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danny Deitrich dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Lee looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Lee is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Deitrich is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Deitrich has escaped and now he's on top!

Deitrich loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Deitrich decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lee, up you get!
Lee misses with a kick to the body
and Deitrich counters with a straight that turns Lee's legs to rubber! Deitrich pushes forward with more strikes and Lee goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danny Deitrich!
Danny Deitrich was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
