Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alfred Touchard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Todd Rodd!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Touchard shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Touchard showed some decent athleticism there.
Rodd is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Touchard performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Touchard thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rodd's head.
Touchard missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Touchard seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rodd for as long as he can get away with.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Touchard moves nicely into side control.
Touchard scoring with punches and elbows.
Touchard has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Touchard tries to clinch up.
Rodd steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Touchard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Touchard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rodd tries to counter by closing the distance.
Touchard looking to score a takedown here. Rodd is defending well but Touchard drives through and ends up in Rodd's guard.
Touchard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rodd swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Touchard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Rodd wants to control but Touchard passes easily into half guard.
Touchard has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Rodd defend it? Touchard steps over the head and cranks it - Rodd is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Touchard!
