The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Frazier both land. Nice combination.
Lang looks to land a left hand but Frazier moved out of range nicely.

Frazier fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lang, pushing him back against the cage.

Frazier manages to break the clinch.
Frazier throws out a powerful jab.
Frazier scores with a push kick.
Crunch! Frazier slams his shin into Lang's torso.
Frazier lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Frazier throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Frazier forces Lang back against the cage and clinches.
Lang is trying to break free.
Lang tries to break the clinch but Frazier is controlling the position.

Lang slaps away a takedown attempt from Frazier, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Walter Lang is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lang throws a hook to the side of Frazier's head but Frazier sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lang misses with a straight left.
Lang stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Frazier.
Frazier feints and then cracks Lang's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lang down.
Lang rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Frazier counters with a three punch combo that has Lang backing up. Lang nods at Frazier to acknowledge the strikes.
Frazier connects with a looping right hand.
Frazier scores with a kick to the midsection.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Frazier. Lang shrugs it off though.
Lang throws a low kick but Frazier avoids it.

and Frazier counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Frazier ducks under a wild hook from Lang.
Frazier tries to counter by clinching up but Lang breaks away and moves out of range.
Lang ducks right into an uppercut from Frazier.
Lang misses the shot to the body.
Frazier blocks a low kick nicely.
As Lang looks to move away, Frazier throws a big counter combo but Lang just gets out of the way.
Frazier closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Frazier has picked Lang up - he's going for a ride! Frazier dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Lang has one foot on Frazier's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Frazier closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Lang is looking to improve his position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lang can do anything to dispel that myth.
Frazier is controlling the pace.
Lang is looking to escape.
Lang is trying to get back to full guard.
Lang pushes Frazier off looking to stand but Frazier dives back in and keeps control.
Frazier working over Lang with some ground and pound. Lang looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Lang tries to kick Frazier off in order to stand up. Frazier Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Frazier in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Lang is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Frazier is controlling him well.

Frazier decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lang to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lang leaves Frazier with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Frazier darts in looking for a takedown but Lang gets double underhooks and turns Frazier into the cage.
Frazier throws a head kick that Lang semi-blocks.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lang tests Frazier's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lang with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Frazier to score with a decent uppercut.
A nice leg kick lands there from Frazier.
Frazier thuds his right hand into Lang's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Lang takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Frazier displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lang throws out the jab.

Lang stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lang wants it to stay on the feet.

Frazier feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lang takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Frazier decides to stand back up. Frazier steps back and let's Lang get back to his feet.
Lang has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Frazier.

Lang throws an overhand right that lands on Frazier's shoulder, as Frazier tries to avoid the shot.
