The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marston forces Goncalves back against the cage and clinches.
Marston throws a head punch that misses.
A body shot lands from Marston.
Marston lands a body punch.
Marston tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Marston working aggressively here.
Marston scores with a shoulder strike.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Still in the clinch, Marston scores with a nice short uppercut.
Marston makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Goncalves blocks an uppercut.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Marston.

Goncalves is looking to take this one to the mat.

Marston pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Marston lands a head shot.
Goncalves walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Dilon Goncalves has been cut.
Goncalves gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Marston.
A lazy left from Marston finds it's target.
Marston ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Marston takes a swing at Goncalves's ribcage but misses.
Goncalves feints the counter takedown.
Marston scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Goncalves is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marston jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marston scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Jab, jab by Marston - just one landing.
Goncalves is still on wobbly legs! Can Marston finish him?
Goncalves tries to clinch but Marston moves away
and Marston counters with a right hand to the body.
Goncalves seems to have recovered his senses.

Marston drops Goncalves with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Goncalves looks back up at him and smiles so Marston waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Marston closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Goncalves! Marston dives in looking to finish! Goncalves is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Marston!
