The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coschignano closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Letter is trying to stand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coschignano takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Coschignano does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Letter is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Stephan Letter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Letter connects with a stiff jab that staggers Coschignano - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
