Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cedrick Callahan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lung Cancer!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cancer gets tackled into the cage by Callahan. Callahan maintains the clinch.

Cancer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Callahan is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Cancer.

Callahan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Callahan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cancer.
Callahan tries to counter by clinching up but Cancer breaks away and moves out of range.

Callahan tries to circle away but Cancer has him pinned against the cage.

Cancer wants the takedown. Callahan is fighting it off but Cancer persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Callahan's guard against the cage.

That was a close round but I would say that Cedrick Callahan will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Cancer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Callahan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cancer somewhat.

Cancer closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Callahan did well to prevent Cancer getting side control.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Callahan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cancer seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Cancer slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Cancer misses with a takedown attempt - Callahan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Cancer decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Callahan manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Callahan is looking to break free of the clinch but Cancer has double underhooks.
Callahan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cancer pulls his leg out and moves away.
Callahan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cancer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cedrick Callahan will probably get the nod.

Lung Cancer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cancer instigates a clinch.
Cancer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Callahan walks away with a smile on his face. Cancer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Cancer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Callahan is fending him off so far but Cancer persists. Nope, Callahan circles away and we're back to standing.
Cancer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Callahan closes the distance and pushes Cancer back into the cage.
Cancer stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

and Callahan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

I would just about give that final round to Lung Cancer.
I think Callahan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
