The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasquez clinches up with Halonen and pushes him back against the cage.
Vasquez looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Halonen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Halonen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Halonen pulls Vasquez in close to his closed guard and prevents Vasquez from doing any damage or advancing position.
Halonen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vasquez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Halonen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vasquez has managed to get both his arms back between Halonen's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Halonen wants to pass to mount but Vasquez is defending the position.

Halonen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vasquez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Halonen.
Halonen is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Vasquez is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
