Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Delbert England (ranked 25134 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buck Richardson (ranked 6468 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Delbert England!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buck Richardson!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Richardson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Richardson trying to pass the guard but England defending well.
England wants to improve his position but Richardson is controlling well.
England misses with some strikes from the bottom.
England could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Richardson is taking a breather. England says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Richardson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Richardson keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
England misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Richardson looks winded!

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Delbert England seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Richardson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches England napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Richardson decides to stand back up. Richardson steps back and let's England get back to his feet.

Richardson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

England is refusing to be controlled, as Richardson sits in half guard.
Richardson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Richardson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

England closes the distance and pushes Richardson back into the cage.

Richardson tightens his grip and picks England up, before dumping him to the ground. England manages to land in guard.
England doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Richardson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Richardson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

England working for a triangle but Richardson defends it easily.
England throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! England's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Richardson drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Richardson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

England is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Richardson wants to control from the top but England keeps moving.
England throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Richardson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Richardson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

England tries to buck Richardson off but Richardson is having none of it.
England is letting Richardson control him for a moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Richardson decides to stand back up.

Richardson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. England quickly recovers to half guard.
England is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
England holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Richardson tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Richardson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force England to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so England shrugs it off.

Richardson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
England might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Richardson looking to control but England is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
England flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
England tries to reverse the position but Richardson maintains control.
Richardson controlling from the full mount.
England really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Richardson working England over with strikes here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Richardson lands a couple of good shots and England has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Richardson really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for England.
Richardson struggling to keep hold of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buck Richardson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



England gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

England breaks the clinch.

England looking to score a takedown here. Richardson is defending well but England drives through and ends up in Richardson's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Richardson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
England looking to stall.

Richardson has picked England up - he's going for a ride! Richardson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Richardson not doing much here.
Richardson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

England connecting with a few gentle strikes.
England is staying active underneath Richardson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Richardson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Well, if Richardson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

England has managed to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
England tries to land knees in the clinch but Richardson avoids the damage to the body.

Richardson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. England is trying to keep an underhook but Richardson manages to get the takedown into half guard.
England throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Richardson is looking to pass England's guard but actually England recovers to full guard.
Richardson trying to control but England is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
England trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

England working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Richardson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Richardson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Richardson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on England, up you get!

England moves into range and clinches up with Richardson.

Richardson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. England is trying to keep an underhook but Richardson manages to get the takedown into half guard.
England is pressing down on Richardson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Richardson wants to control from the top but England keeps moving.
Richardson tries to free his leg and advance position but England is retaining full guard.

England is looking for a triangle but Richardson pushes his legs off easily.
Buck Richardson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Richardson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

And that's the end of the fight!
Buck Richardson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Richardson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
