The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hudson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Universe counters with a straight right hand.
Hudson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Universe as he jumps to the side.
A nice leg kick lands there from Universe.
Hudson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Universe counters with a nice body shot.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Louis Hudson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A jab from Universe does it's job there.
Hudson shoots in for a takedown but Universe shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Universe throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

and Universe moves into the clinch.
Universe lands a nice shot to the body.
Hudson goes for a takedown attempt but Universe pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Universe has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
Universe dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hudson. That did some damage!

Universe lands a head kick. Hudson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Universe jabs Hudson to the body, keeping him at a distance.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hudson is defended easily by Universe.
Universe scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Universe thuds a left hand into Hudson's body.

and Universe counters with a series of strikes. Hudson will be more careful next time no doubt.

Universe closes the distance and clinches.

Oh Hudson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hudson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Universe.
Universe throws a head kick that half lands.
The fighters circle, before Universe throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Hudson's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Universe lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
