The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gagnon stuffs the takedown.
Gagnon moves out of range of the strikes.
Lukasz Lucznik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lucznik fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lucznik tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gagnon swivels and escapes.
Gagnon changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Mike Gagnon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lukasz Lucznik.
Lucznik closes the distance and clinches up with Gagnon, looking for a takedown. Lucznik pushes Gagnon against the cage but Gagnon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gagnon drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lucznik sprawls and moves away.

Gagnon gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Lucznik regains guard.

Lucznik has his feet on Gagnon's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gagnon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lucznik keeps working.
Lucznik is trying to buck Gagnon off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gagnon has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Lucznik is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gagnon yanks on the arm and Lucznik is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gagnon.
