Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lanny Langley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tiger Man!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man shoots in looking for a takedown but Langley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Man's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A little feinted left hand from Langley on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Man goes for a double leg but Langley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Langley continues to drive forward.
Langley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Man.
Lanny Langley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tiger Man.
Langley shoots in for a takedown but Man shows good takedown defense.
Man lands a nice hook to Langley's body. Langley takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A low kick from Man misses

and Langley counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Langley lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Man is trying to escape back to his feet but Langley uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Man tries to buck Langley off but Langley is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Man is trying to control Langley's posture but Langley avoids it.
Langley looks up at the clock and then as Man takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Langley smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Man tries to buck Langley off but Langley is having none of it.
Man wants to control but Langley postures up.
Man regains half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Langley connects with a nice short shot to Man's temple.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Langley working over Man with some ground and pound. Man looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Langley scoring with strikes to the body and head.

Langley is looking for a kimura but Man is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Langley to get the leverage.
Langley takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Man is looking to improve his position.
Well, if Langley is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Man misses with some strikes from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Langley lands strikes from half guard.
Man is looking to escape.
Man on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Langley controlling the pace.
Langley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Langley controlling the pace.
Man misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Langley stands up from half guard.

Langley closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Langley is thwarting Man's attempts to control the position.
Langley prevents Man from improving his position.
Langley not doing much here.

Langley postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Man to stand up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A looping hook to the body misses from Langley. Man does a little dance to reset his feet.
Man shoots for a takedown but Langley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lanny Langley dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Langley closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Man pushes Langley off but Langley dives into side control.
Man is looking to reverse the position.
You can see the frustration on Man's face as Langley controls the position.
Man is looking for a sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Langley tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
A lull in the action here as Langley stalls from top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Man tries to improve position but can't.
Langley landing a few strikes.

Langley tries for a kimura but Man is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
You can see the frustration on Man's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Man tries to buck Langley off but Langley is having none of it.
Langley controlling the position from side mount.
Man looking for a sweep but Langley has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Langley is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Man has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Langley controlling the pace for now.
Man is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Langley gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Langley moves into the clinch successfully.

Langley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Langley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Langley is pulling down on Man's head to control his posture.
Man prevents Langley from getting back to his feet.

Langley has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Man doesn't defend quickly enough and Langley has managed to lock this one up! Can Man escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Langley on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Lanny Langley!
