Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Len Richmond (ranked 25396 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Coschignano (ranked 7762 p4p, 0 weight class). Coschignano has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Joseph Coschignano will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richmond darts in looking for a takedown but Coschignano gets double underhooks and turns Richmond into the cage.
Coschignano steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Richmond.
Coschignano looks winded!

Richmond looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Richmond gets to his feet. Coschignano looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Richmond changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coschignano tries to avoid it but Richmond manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coschignano to the ground. Coschignano escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Richmond throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Coschignano was covering up waiting for the punch and Richmond finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Richmond passes Coschignano's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Richmond will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Richmond is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Richmond has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Richmond looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
