The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stewart slaps away a takedown attempt from Wren, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Wren shoots for a takedown but Stewart saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wren blocks a low kick nicely.
Wren wants to counter the offense by Stewart and move into the clinch position.
Stewart misses with a wild combination.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wren throws a sloppy head kick and Stewart moves out of range easily.
Stewart attempts a counter takedown but Wren avoids it well and moves away.
Wren has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Stewart is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Wren scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Stewart wants to get back to his feet but Wren drags him back down.

Wren taking a break here but Stewart is having none of it and regains half guard.
Stewart wants to improve his position but Wren is controlling well.
Stewart has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wren is working away from the top position though.
Wren wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stewart keeps working.
Stewart really is a fat lump.

Wren wants to work for an arm triangle but Stewart is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Stewart is trying to get back to full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Stewart makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Stewart.
Stewart tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Stewart will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Wren trying to control but Stewart is working from the bottom.

Stewart has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Wren doesn't defend quickly enough and Stewart has managed to lock this one up! Can Wren escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Stewart on a fantastic submission victory.
