Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubin scores with a hook to the body. St. Georges takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
St. Georges takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rubin. St. Georges does a little dance to reset his feet.

St. Georges closes the distance and pushes Rubin back into the cage.

Rubin manages to break the clinch.

Rubin gets tackled into the cage by St. Georges. St. Georges maintains the clinch.
Rubin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Rubin fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Rubin has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by St. Georges after a bit of a struggle.
St. Georges tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Rubin's elbow.
St. Georges lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Rubin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rubin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rubin is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt St. Georges will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

St. Georges is trying to improve his position.
Rubin wants to control for a moment but St. Georges uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rubin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
St. Georges tries to roll over but Rubin keeps him under control.

Rubin lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
St. Georges is trying to get back to full guard.
Rubin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
St. Georges wants to sweep but Rubin has passed to side control!
Rubin lands a decent elbow from side control.
Rubin connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused St. Georges some visible discomfort.
Rubin tries to score with some ground and pound. St. Georges controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Rubin fails to land a wild elbow strike.
St. Georges tries to bench press Rubin off him but Rubin keeps the position.

St. Georges takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rubin is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt St. Georges will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Timur Rubin dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Rubin cracks St. Georges with a right hand to the side of the head.
St. Georges ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rubin moves away.

Rubin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches St. Georges on the side of the head.
St. Georges is looking to clinch.
St. Georges uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rubin.
St. Georges unleashes a big counter combination but Rubin bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Rubin dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on St. Georges. That did some damage!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
St. Georges misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rubin.
Rubin appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Rubin lands a nice shot that snaps St. Georges's head back.
Rubin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that St. Georges can do to turn this around?

Rubin throws a hook to the side of St. Georges's head but St. Georges sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Rubin counters with a nice double leg into side control. St. Georges won't be happy with that.

St. Georges is trying to get back to his feet.
St. Georges takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
St. Georges struggling a bit here.
St. Georges is looking for a sweep.
Rubin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rubin works to advance to full mount. St. Georges defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
St. Georges felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Rubin connects with a bit shot that sees St. Georges covering up! More strikes from Rubin and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Rubin is our winner by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Timur Rubin!
