Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Neymar Santos (ranked 2037 p4p, 207 weight class) and Ben Hogan (ranked 2104 p4p, 215 weight class). Santos kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Garota de Ipanema. Hogan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Papoose feat. Cassidy - John F. Kennedy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ben Hogan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos misses with a looping left.
Hogan throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Santos swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Hogan dodges the punch combination from Santos.
Hogan misses with a hook. Santos ducked under it nicely.
Santos motions for Hogan to come forward. Santos throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Santos lands with a hook. Hogan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Hogan has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Neymar Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Some bone on bone action there as Hogan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Hogan is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Santos had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hogan will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Hogan might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Santos has got the better of the exchanges.
