Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Hughs (ranked 5000 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fun Fest (ranked 2943 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fun Fest!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughs looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fest is fending him off so far but Hughs persists. Nope, Fest circles away and we're back to standing.
Fest lands with a hook. Hughs tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Fest scores with a hook to the body. Hughs takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Hughs with a lazy takedown attempt

and Fest counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fest landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Hughs tries to get to full guard but Fest has control of the leg.
Fest working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Fest lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Fest takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Hughs gets back to full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fest is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Fest is in close to Hughs's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Fest has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hughs is rocked!
Fest preventing the sweep.
Fest postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Hughs covers up, he's hurt! Fest keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Fest and the ref steps in to end the fight! Fest can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
