Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones instigates a clinch.

Misalooba pulls guard effortlessly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Misalooba slips nicely into half guard.
Misalooba has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jones tries to kick Misalooba off but Misalooba keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Misalooba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Misalooba is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Misalooba looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Misalooba looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Misalooba stops Jones from getting back to his feet.

Misalooba is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jones sees it coming and defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jones is trying to stand back up but Misalooba is controlling him
Misalooba passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jones!
Jones is working to get back to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jones in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Misalooba takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Misalooba lunges at Jones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jones's hand.
Misalooba swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Misalooba swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Misalooba drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Jones right on the button. Jones goes down! Misalooba follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Misalooba gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Didier Misalooba!
