The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor lands a jab.
Cotton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Taylor manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Taylor let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Cotton throws a series of punches but Taylor avoids them all with ease.
Taylor keeps the fight on the outside.
Taylor throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Taylor slaps away a takedown attempt from Cotton, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cotton is looking to clinch but Taylor is avoiding it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Taylor! But no joy.
Taylor looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Taylor feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cottons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Taylor can do anything to dispel that myth.
Cotton is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Taylor can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Cotton with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Emmanuel Cotton will probably get the nod.

Cotton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Taylor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Taylor throws a strike but Cotton rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Taylor wants to sweep here but Cotton controlling him for the moment.

Taylor lands a left hand that snaps the head of Cotton backwards.

Taylor clobbers Cotton with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Steven Taylor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Cotton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Cotton tries to close the distance and clinch but Taylor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Cotton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Taylor walks away with a smile on his face. Cotton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Taylor, as that shot connected.
Cotton takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Taylor moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Taylor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cotton misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cotton darts in and clinches Taylor up against the cage.

Taylor tries to kick Cotton off in order to stand up. Cotton Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cotton gets to mount! Taylor was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Taylor reaches up to try and control the position but Cotton seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Taylor rolls and tries to escape and now Cotton has his back!
Cotton controlling well, preventing Taylor from escaping the position.
Taylor won't enjoy being in this position. Cotton looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Taylor is tapping - it's over boys! Cotton picks up the submission victory!
