Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Riza Rakija (ranked 992 p4p, 106 weight class) and En Sabah Nur (ranked 2468 p4p, 246 weight class). Rakija comes into the arena with Rakija blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and James Glass.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rakija defending well as Sabah Nur loads up on a big left hand.
Sabah Nur uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rakija has time to react.
Rakija thuds his right hand into Sabah Nur's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Rakija tried to score with a low kick but Sabah Nur checks it.

Rakija looking to score a takedown here. Sabah Nur is defending well but Rakija drives through and ends up in Sabah Nur's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sabah Nur controls Rakija momentarily but Rakija frees himself.

Rakija is looking to take a break and control but Sabah Nur is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rakija is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Sabah Nur will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sabah Nur can't do much from the bottom here.
Rakija is looking to take a break and control but Sabah Nur is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sabah Nur is looking to regain half guard here but Rakija keeps moving and retains side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sabah Nur can't do much from the bottom here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rakija.

Sabah Nur fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rakija throws a lazy right hand but Sabah Nur sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rakija tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sabah Nur throws a sloppy head kick and Rakija moves out of range easily.

Rakija gets a double leg takedown into Sabah Nur's guard.
Sabah Nur is trying to keep Rakija in close.
Sabah Nur wants to control but Rakija passes easily into half guard.

Rakija prevents Sabah Nur from improving his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rakija is trying to control the action in half guard but Sabah Nur is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Sabah Nur wants to get back to full guard but Rakija has passed into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sabah Nur takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Sabah Nur throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rakija dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sabah Nur. That did some damage!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rakija connects with a solid leg kick.
Sabah Nur scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rakija doesn't seem bothered though.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sabah Nur throws a right hand that Rakija ducks under and follows up with a left that Rakija also avoids with ease.
Sabah Nur jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rakija lands a head kick!
Rakija throws out a leg kick but Sabah Nur moves out of range and Rakija only half commits.
Riza Rakija seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rakija with a nice cross.
Rakija fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sabah Nur on the side of the head.
Rakija throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Sabah Nur moves out of range of the leg kick from Rakija.

Rakija shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sabah Nur napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rakija wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sabah Nur keeps working.

Rakija working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Rakija is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sabah Nur can do to turn this around?

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Rakija moves out of range of the body kick.
Sabah Nur doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A jab from Rakija finds it's way through Sabah Nur's defenses.
It looks like Rakija has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Rakija steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sabah Nur. That one must have hurt.
Rakija fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sabah Nur.

Sabah Nur appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Sabah Nur ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Riza Rakija is winning the standup battle so far.
A left lands for Sabah Nur.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Rakija checks a leg kick.
Rakija throws a hook but Sabah Nur blocks it.

Rakija changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sabah Nur looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Riza Rakija overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rakija stuns Sabah Nur with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

En Sabah Nur is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sabah Nur throws a looping overhand right but Rakija ducks down to avoid it.
Rakija lands the left hand.
Rakija throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sabah Nur stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Riza Rakija showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Rakija has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
