Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Banks (ranked 5302 p4p, 463 weight class) and Tyson Powers (ranked 9096 p4p, 581 weight class). Banks kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is L.D Poppin. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the body from Powers misses
letting Banks counter with a right hand.
Powers misses with a left hand
and Powers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Powers uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Banks.
Banks throws a hook but Powers blocks it.
A little jabbing left from Powers on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Banks throws a lazy right hand but Powers sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And Powers responds with a good body kick, but Banks manages to step out the way in time.

and Powers counters with a straight right hand.
Powers fails in his attempt to clinch.
No joy there for Banks, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Banks loads up on a big right hand but Powers slips the punch.
Powers tries to clinch up but Banks circles away and keeps his distance.
Banks throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Powers sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Marshall Banks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Powers tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Banks was well out of range. Poor timing from Powers.
Powers scores with a head kick.
Powers displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Banks throws out the jab.

Powers looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Powers thows a body kick. Banks tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Banks circles away from the clinch attempt.

Powers looks for a takedown but Banks sprawls well.

Powers takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
