The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mitchell at a distance.
Miller lands with a right hand.
Miller thuds his right hand into Mitchell's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Mitchell takes a jab right on the kisser.

Miller feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mitchell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Miller manages to get himself to full guard.

Mitchell pushes down on Miller's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Mitchell thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Miller's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Mitchell is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Miller sees it coming and defends easily.
Mitchell moves into full mount! Miller won't be happy about that!

Mitchell wants to control the pace but Miller is squirming around nicely.

Mitchell is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Mitchell extends the arm and Miller is forced to tap!
