Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir Jr (ranked 3212 p4p, 300 weight class) and Jeremy Pettis (ranked 4149 p4p, 366 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Pettis is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Mir Jr had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Some bone on bone action there as Pettis checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Mir Jr will probably get the nod.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Pettis might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Mir Jr has got the better of the exchanges.

Pettis might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
