Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hannibal Rose (ranked 2327 p4p, 302 weight class) and Vladimir Rurik (ranked 1662 p4p, 230 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rurik misses with a hook. Rose ducked under it nicely.
Rurik digs a good hook to Rose's body.
Rurik getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Rose moves out of range of the strikes.
Rurik lands with a good body shot.
Rurik blocks a head kick by Rose.
A big right from Rurik misses.
Rose throws a counter high kick but Rurik was just alert enough to avoid it.
Some wild striking there from Rurik.
Rose looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

It looks like Hannibal Rose has been cut.
Rurik throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rose sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've been told by Rose's head coaches at LOD: BAD BOY MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Rose moves out of range as Rurik strikes.
Rurik throws a body punch but Rose moves out of range.
Rose takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rurik walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Rurik drops Rose with a beautiful combination! Rose stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rurik is looking for the KO!

Rose is rocked!
Rose slips a jab and a cross from Rurik.
Oh Rose is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rose looks to land a combination but Rurik avoids it well.
Rose ducks under a wild hook from Rurik.
Rose seems to have got his legs back now.

Rose steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rurik.
Rurik takes a jab right on the kisser.
A big right from Rurik misses.
Nice defenses there by Rose.
Rose was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Rurik paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Rose moves out of range of the strikes.
Rose tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Rurik manages to circle out of the way.
Rose moves in looking to clinch but Rurik pushes him off.
Rurik misses with a hook
and Rose counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Rose lands a big head kick that sends Rurik tumbling to the mat! Rose takes a step backwards and waves Rurik back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Rurik is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
No joy there for Rurik, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rurik is still on wobbly legs! Can Rose finish him?
Rose wants to clinch up but Rurik keeps it at a distance.
Rurik swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Rose cracks Rurik with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Rurik falls to his knees and Rose doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
