Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Don Fagaro (ranked 326 p4p, 41 weight class) and Fredrik Stenberg (ranked 52 p4p, 10 weight class). Fredrik Stenberg has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Don Fagaro's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Fagaro does it's job there.
No joy there for Fagaro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stenberg tries to bum rush Fagaro with a series of wild strikes but Fagaro uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Fagaro clinches up against the cage.
Stenberg blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Stenberg swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Fagaro jumps guard and drags Stenberg to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Fagaro is looking for a triangle but Stenberg pushes his legs off easily.
Stenberg postures up in Fagaro's guard and throws a big left but Fagaro blocks it.

Fagaro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stenberg can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stenberg scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Fagaro looking for a guillotine here but Stenberg defends easily.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Fagaro has his foot on Stenberg's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stenberg works his way back into a safe position though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stenberg has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Fagaro manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Fagaro is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Lovelair Muay Thai/MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Stenberg is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Fagaro is hurt! He's hurt bad - Stenberg fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Fagaro from any more punishment! Congratulations to Stenberg! Great finish!
