Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rama Arjuna (ranked 668 p4p, 96 weight class) and Miro Bang (ranked 797 p4p, 114 weight class). Arjuna's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Om. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rama Arjuna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Miro Bang!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bang closes the distance and clinches.

Arjuna breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bang is defended easily by Arjuna.
Bang shoots in looking for a takedown. Arjuna tries to sprawl out of it but Bang keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Arjuna manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick by Bang misses
and Arjuna counters with a lovely straight right hand!


It looks like Miro Bang has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bang darts in trying to clinch
letting Arjuna counter with a right hand.
Bang dives in for a single leg takedown but Arjuna sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Rama Arjuna has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miro Bang.
Bang misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A little feinted left hand from Arjuna on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Bang dives in for a single leg takedown but Arjuna sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
As Bang looks to move away, Arjuna throws a big counter combo but Bang just gets out of the way.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bang changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Arjuna tries to avoid it but Bang manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Arjuna to the ground. Arjuna escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bang shoots in for a takedown but Arjuna shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bang tries to clinch but Arjuna moves out of range.
Arjuna was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Bang looks for a takedown but Arjuna sprawls well.
Bang misses with a takedown attempt - Arjuna sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A quick step to the side and Arjuna tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bang shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Arjuna as he avoids it easily.
Arjuna was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Bang tries to clinch there but Arjuna circles away.
Arjuna swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Bang moves in looking to clinch but Arjuna pushes him off.

Bang looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Arjuna is fending him off so far but Bang persists. Nope, Arjuna circles away and we're back to standing.
Arjuna looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Arjuna as he jumps to the side.
Arjuna quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Bang tries to clinch there but Arjuna circles away.

Bang darts in and clinches Arjuna up against the cage.

Bang changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Arjuna fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bang misses with a takedown
and Arjuna finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Bang dives in and grabs Arjuna's left leg, looking for a takedown. Arjuna pushes down on Bang's head and hops out.
Arjuna was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Bang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Arjuna swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Arjuna appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bang shoots in and bounces Arjuna off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Arjuna pulls Bang in close to his closed guard and prevents Bang from doing any damage or advancing position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Bang doesn't manage to clinch there - Arjuna circles away.
Arjuna displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bang.
Arjuna is looking to counter with a body kick.

and Arjuna makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Bang has closed the distance and engaged Arjuna in a clinch.
Arjuna is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bang can do to turn this around?
A head punch blocked on the inside by Bang.
Arjuna tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

A nice left hand lands by Arjuna.
Arjuna lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Bang has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Arjuna is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bang has Arjuna pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Arjuna manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bang tightens his grip and picks Arjuna up, before dumping him to the ground. Arjuna manages to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Arjuna is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Bang postures up in Arjuna's guard and throws a big left but Arjuna blocks it.
Bang wants to pass the guard but Arjuna is keeping the position.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Arjuna pulls Bang in close to prevent any damage.
Arjuna's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bang cracks Arjuna with a solid left hand.
Arjuna avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Bang in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bang trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bang has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bang drops back looking for a leg! Arjuna is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Arjuna manages to kick Bang off! Bang jumps back into Arjuna's guard.
Arjuna pulls Bang in close to his closed guard and prevents Bang from doing any damage or advancing position.
Arjuna continues to stall.

Bang drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bang jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Arjuna is pulling down on Bang's head to control his posture.
Bang postures up in Arjuna's guard and throws a big left but Arjuna blocks it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Arjuna wants to stand and escape but Bang is having none of it.

Arjuna is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Arjuna working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Bang is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Bang jumps guard and drags Arjuna to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Arjuna got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bang has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Arjuna has managed to get both his arms back between Bang's legs - danger averted.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Arjuna gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Bang shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Arjuna but Arjuna pushes him off and we're back to square one.
It looked like Arjuna wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rama Arjuna dominated that second round.

That's time! Arjuna's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
and Arjuna counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bang fails in his attempt to clinch.

and Arjuna counters with a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bang doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Arjuna counters with a crisp right hand that drops Bang! Arjuna lets Bang back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Bang is still on wobbly legs! Can Arjuna finish him?
Bang throws a lazy head kick
and Arjuna counters with a big left hand that crumples Bang! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rama Arjuna!
A very excited looking Rama Arjuna made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
