Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Micah Hays!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johny Chambers!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hays thumps Chambers with a low kick.
Chambers shoots for a takedown but Hays saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hays darts in and clinches Chambers up against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Hays.
Chambers is looking for a takedown.
Chambers makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Hays tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Hays stops a takedown attempt from Chambers.
Micah Hays has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johny Chambers.
A short body shot lands from Chambers as the two fighters clinch.
Chambers makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A right hook to the body lands for Hays.
Chambers manages to break the clinch.
Chambers closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Chambers lands in his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chambers wants to control from the top but Hays keeps moving.
Chambers tries to free his leg and advance position but Hays is retaining full guard.
Chambers is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Chambers cracks Hays with a solid left hand.
Chambers distracts Hays with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Chambers wants to control from the top but Hays keeps moving.
Chambers trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Chambers with a flurry of punches that miss.
Chambers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Chambers postures up and lands a big shot to Hays's brow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chambers throws a strike but Hays rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Chambers wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Hays postures up in Chambers's guard and throws a big left but Chambers blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chambers is striking from the bottom but Hays uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Chambers regains full guard. Nicely done.
Hays is looking to work some ground and pound but Chambers has wrist control.
Chambers is pulling down on Hays's head. It's preventing any offense from Hays, at least for the moment.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Chambers wants to get back to his feet but Hays is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Chambers looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hays is one step ahead there.
Chambers is adopting a defensive guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chambers controls Hays momentarily but Hays frees himself.
Hays trying to control the position from guard on top but Chambers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hays throws a big elbow that misses.
Chambers wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Chambers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hays cracks Chambers with a solid left hand.
Chambers has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hays has passed into side control.
Hays working the head and body with strikes.

Chambers is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hays off and has taken his back!
Chambers struggling to land strikes to the head as Hays covers up.
Hays covers up after that shot from Chambers.
Chambers scores with punches from the back.

You can see the frustration on Hays's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chambers is punishing Hays with some ground and pound.
Hays covers up after that shot from Chambers.
Chambers lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Hays is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Chambers lands strikes to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johny Chambers dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!
Chambers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hays stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A jab from Chambers finds it's way through Hays's defenses.
Hays misses with a looping right.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Hays comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hays takes one to the side of the head.
Hays moves out of range of the strikes.
Hays dips to his left and cracks Chambers with an uppercut!
Hays scores with a kick to the midsection.
Chambers tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hays manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Chambers pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Chambers has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Hays.
Hays on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hays walks into a left hand.
Hays is rocked!
Good leg kick by Hays there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Oh Hays is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Are you kidding me?! Chambers ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Hays clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Johny Chambers!
Johny Chambers was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
