Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Apollo Reid (ranked 4932 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix Duquet (ranked 4140 p4p, 0 weight class). Reid comes to the cage accompanied by Living in America by James Brown. Duquet is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Forever. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duquet throws a sloppy head kick and Reid moves out of range easily.

Reid moves into the clinch.

Reid jumps into guard, dragging Duquet to the mat.
Reid lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Reid chips away with some ground and pound.
Reid advances to half guard.
Duquet trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Reid lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Duquet hang on?

It looks like Felix Duquet has been cut.
Duquet is bucking up trying to escape but Reid cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Reid cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That has opened up Felix Duquet's cut even more.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reid raining down hammerfists from mount.

Felix Duquet's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Felix Duquet's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Apollo Reid!
Apollo Reid made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'You ain't nothin' but a bum!'.
Felix Duquet spoke after the fight, saying 'I congratulate my opponent on his win, but mark words, I will be repaying him in spades.'.
