Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Takeo Takeshi!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeshi tries for a takedown but Popov circles away easily
and Popov counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Takeo Takeshi has been cut.
Takeshi wants to clinch up but Popov keeps it at a distance.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Takeshi is trying to maintain a safe position but Popov gets an underhook and turns Takeshi into the cage.
Nice body punch from Popov - that landed with a thud.
Takeshi looks winded!
A shot in the inside from Popov.
Popov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Takeo Takeshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takeshi gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Popov counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Popov with a jab.
Popov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Takeshi doesn't seem bothered though.
Popov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Takeshi tries to keep at a distance but Popov has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Popov digs a right hand into Takeshi's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Takeshi's gas tank.
Popov scores with a shot to the side of Takeshi's head.
That has opened up Takeo Takeshi's cut even more.
Popov presses Takeshi against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Popov breaks from the clinch.
Popov scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Popov sizes up Takeshi with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Popov digs a good body shot into Takeshi's ribs.
Crack! Popov connects with the perfect overhand right and Takeshi falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Popov!
