Da Costa lunges at Smit with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Smit's hand.

Da Costa's coach down at Jitz MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Da Costa's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Fernandinho Da Costa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Da Costa feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Smit sprawling to the canvas! Smit rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Da Costa finish him?!

Smit's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Da Costa connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Smit scrambles back to his feet.

Smit bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Da Costa comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Smit falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Smit was out before he hit the floor!
