Quick Fight Championship PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marcinho Sitsongrit (ranked 7081 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Wan Soo (ranked 3677 p4p, 349 weight class). Wan Soo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rise of the Northstar - Welcame kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wan Soo is looking to slow Sitsongrit down with leg kicks.
Wan Soo chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Jon Wan Soo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sitsongrit goes for a double leg but Wan Soo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wan Soo continues to drive forward.
Wan Soo only half commits to the counter leg kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Wan Soo.

Wan Soo scores with a spinning back kick!

and Wan Soo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wan Soo.

Wan Soo is working Sitsongrit over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wan Soo stands up over Sitsongrit, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Sitsongrit isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wan Soo stacks Sitsongrit on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wan Soo!
Wan Soo tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Wan Soo looks up at the clock and then as Sitsongrit takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Wan Soo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Sitsongrit tries to bench press Wan Soo off him but Wan Soo keeps the position.
Wan Soo works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

A lull in the action here as Wan Soo stalls from top position.

Wan Soo cracks Sitsongrit with a big elbow.
Sitsongrit is looking for a sweep.
Sitsongrit is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Wan Soo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Wan Soo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Wan Soo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Sitsongrit trying to hold on to Wan Soo's head to control him but Wan Soo postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wan Soo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Wan Soo passes the guard and advances to mount!
Wan Soo connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Sitsongrit is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

BOOM! Wan Soo connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sitsongrit regains half guard.

Sitsongrit wants to control but Wan Soo is keeping busy.
Wan Soo performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Wan Soo prevents Sitsongrit from improving his position.

Sitsongrit is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wan Soo pulls his head out easily.
Wan Soo scoring with strikes to the body and head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Wan Soo dominated that round.

Sitsongrit doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wan Soo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Marcinho Sitsongrit has been cut.
Sitsongrit has his takedown stuffed
enabling Wan Soo to counter with a crisp jab.
Wan Soo tries a head kick but it misses.

Wan Soo drops Sitsongrit with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sitsongrit looks back up at him and smiles so Wan Soo waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Sitsongrit is rocked!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Wan Soo throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Sitsongrit is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jon Wan Soo!
During a confident post fight interview, Jon Wan Soo thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
