The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danson tries to clinch up.

Danson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

McAuliffe lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Danson backs up against the cage.
McAuliffe jabs Danson right on the nose. Danson blinks but takes it well.
Danson tries to close the distance and clinch but McAuliffe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McAuliffe closes the distance and lands a one-two.
McAuliffe dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McAuliffe swats away the attempt to clinch by Danson.
McAuliffe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Danson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Danson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Danson shoots for a double leg takedown but McAuliffe sprawls well. He's pushed Danson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
