Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Stylez (ranked 4157 p4p, 491 weight class) and Joel Duarte (ranked 4020 p4p, 472 weight class). Duarte has chosen Nate Dogg - Keep It G.A.N.G.S.T.A. as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duarte throws the left hand but Stylez avoids the punch easily.

Duarte has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Stylez is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Stylez misses with an uppercut. Duarte saw that one coming.
Stylez throws a looping overhand right but Duarte ducks down to avoid it.
Duarte bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Duarte displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stylez throws out the jab.
Duarte cracks Stylez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Stylez takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

and Stylez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stylez loads up on a big right hand but Duarte slips the punch.
Duarte thuds his right hand into Stylez's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

It looks like Jeremy Stylez has been cut.

Duarte gets to his feet and stands over Stylez, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Stylez felt that one! Duarte unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Stylez from any more punishment!
